It involves actively doing everything possible to mitigate any ecological damage resulting from our business activities. Management systems
The Linde Management Systems and Standards (LiMSS) is a global system for identifying core requirements and best practices in SHEQ with the ultimate aim of achieving world-class safety standards. LiMSS provides our employees with immediate, global access to information and expertise across The Linde Group and the elimination of duplicate tasks due to parallel systems at a regional and local level. LiMSS also promotes environmental protection, sustainability and process efficiency.
Certification – proven safety and environmental protection
The internal environmental and safety audits run by our SHEQ department comply with the main internationally recognised standards. All our PG&P, Bulk and Tonnage sites are certified with ISO 9001:2008 certficiation of quality. In addition, the Bulk and Tonnage sites have received the ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 certifications. In 2010, Linde planted nearly 10,000 trees in India to commemorate the company's 75th anniversary.
Participation in associations
We work closely with industrial associations and non-profit organisation to raise safety standards in the production, transport, storage and use of industrial gases.
We are a member of National Safety Council, one of the leading industry bodies that promotes safety and environment standards in India.
Achievements
- On 24 March 2012, we achieved 500 major incident-free days in our gases and distribution operation.
- In 2009, Hyderabad site was awarded Zero Accident Site award by Director of Factories.
- In 2009 and 2010, Bangalore PGP site was awarded Best Safe Site by Deparment of Factories.
- Bellary site ranked 5th best site for safety standards at a state level competition organised by Department of Factories and Boiler Karnataka.
